The lunch at Swinley Forest is world class.  The golf course is even better.  The combination of both (36 holes) makes for one of the world's great golfing days.

The best thing about Swinley is how the course flows.  You stand on the 15th tee and wonder how you got there so quickly, time loses importance.  The course is very scorable, but any bad shots are exponentially punished the further offline they go.  The heather tempts you, don’t succumb.

The greens have devilish movement in them, bordering on machiavellian at times.  It would be interesting to see how the greens would play if the surfaces were slightly faster, but they offer a throwback to how greens used to play, the perfect balance between movement and speed.
